COMPLEMENTARY PATHWAYS IN A CHANGING POLITICAL CONTEXT

Discussions and activities on complementary pathways into protection into the EU have incereased in recent years and several new pathways have been launched or planned.

Some pathways have, however, encountered difficulties due to changing and volatile political circumstances. As complementary pathways are by definition dependent on collaboration with and agreement of political authorities at different levels, such changes can be fatal to a programme.

This webinar aims to provide an overview on the interplay between political context and complementary pathways and, through two case studies from the COMET project, to consider how the changing political context impacted on the planned complementary pathways, how those developing the complementary pathways concerned adjusted their action in response, how damage could be limited and the planning and positive energy redirected.

Join us online for input and discussion from practitioners, experts and those wanting to become either in the area of complementary pathways.
