Rome (NEV), 18 May 2018 – 22 refugees from Lebanon are expected to arrive tonight at the Charles de Gaulle airport of Paris. This is the fifth humanitarian corridors towards France, organised by the Entraide Protestante (Protestant Mutual Aid Federation), the Protestant Federation of France (FPF), the Community of Sant’Egidio, the French Episcopal Conference and the Secours catholique-Caritas of France.
The group is made up of two Iraqi families from the Mosul region and Syrian families. With their arrival, the total number of refugees received by France with the humanitarian corridors has risen to 129. The agreement with France, signed based on the example of the Italian Humanitarian corridors, involves the passage of 500 people in 18 months, starting from July 2017.
