Mediterranean Hope - Refugee and Migrant Programme of the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy (FCEI), is a project financed largely by the Otto Per Mille tax allocation of the Waldensian Evangelical Church - Union of Methodist and Waldensian Churches, and by other FCEI member churches such as the Evangelical Baptist Christian Union of Italy and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Italy. Mediterranean Hope's supporters also include various foreign churches and ecumenical agencies such as the Evangelical Church of Westphalia (EKvW), the Church of Scotland, the Reformed Church in the United States, Global Ministres (UCC / Disciples of Christ) and several evangelical communities in Italy.

The project is also supported by individual donations, from Italy and abroad, whose contributions enable the FCEI to continue supporting migrants in their right to move, seek protection and self-determination.

In Lampedusa, donations will go mainly to initial welcome for migrants (water, food, thermal blankets) and to support initiatives in the local area.
To Casa delle Culture in Scicli, donations will go mainly to goods such as clothes, school or educational/recreational materials for people hosted there and for social integration initiatives.
To Humanitarian Corridors, donations will go mainly to support travel and reception costs to enable those fleeing war and persecution to reach Italy.
To Medical Hope, donations will go mainly to medical support for those in Lebanon who are denied access to care due to lack of economic resources.
In Rosarno, in the Piana di Gioia Tauro, donations will go mainly to supporting the social hostel and socio-health initiatives for labourers.
On the Balkan Route, donations will go mainly to supporting people on the move and stranded at the border, and the activities of the therapeutic climbing gym.
